Dzovag Kotchian’s work evolves through theoretical reflection and artistic research. Experimentation with materials, uses, and manufacturing processes plays a central role in his work. At the heart of this project lies the exploration of a single material: raw clay. Its use dates back to the dawn of humanity and evokes in people an emotional connection to nature. An original process for unique creations
This unique technique gives him complete freedom in shaping his creations and allows him to craft ethereal objects with forms that are either organic or geometric. These delicate works conceal their solidity behind a light and poetic appearance. Blurring the line between art and design, his work bridges the gap between a traditional material and an innovative process to give rise to new shapes
